Why a 4-Weekend Intensive Works Better Than a Single Workshop

A single 90-minute workshop feels good in the moment, but most of it is forgotten within a week. That's the gap this August's Chennai intensive is built to close.
The Problem With One-Off Workshops
A single workshop can show you a concept — a new combination, a styling idea, a piece of technique — but one exposure rarely becomes a habit. Without repetition, most of what's taught fades within days, and you're left having "seen" something rather than actually owning it in your body.
What Four Weekends Actually Changes
Each track in this August's intensive — Salsa ON1, Salsa ON2, Bachata Moderna, Bachata Fusion & Sensual, Kizomba Flavours, Kizomba Fusion — runs across all four weekends, from 15/16 August through 5/6 September. That's enough repetition for a concept to move from "I understood that in the moment" to "my body does that now":
Weekend 1: New concept introduced, plenty of correction needed
Weekend 2: The shape starts to feel familiar, fewer corrections
Weekend 3: Layering begins — combinations, musicality, styling on top of the base
Weekend 4: Consolidation — dancing it socially, not just drilling it
Direct Time With Arun
Across four sessions instead of one, there's simply more opportunity for individual correction and feedback — the kind of detail that's impossible to absorb in a single 60-minute class with a full room.
